The Sewing Machine Project has recently been started in Kashmir to help empower women economically. This project, which has already been running in Mysore (Karnataka) and was successfully completed in Calcutta and Madhya Pradesh, aims to support underprivileged women by providing them with sewing machines and training.
Through this program, women gain the skills they need to earn a stable income and work towards a better, self-sustained livelihood. It offers free training for underprivileged women, with no charges for enrollment. MIWF’s goal is to equip these women with sewing skills so they can become financially independent.
Upon completing the course, participants will have the skills to take sewing orders from their local community, allowing them to start earning right away. This project is designed to provide women with a pathway to sustainable income and self-sufficiency.
