MQI (India) organizes Conference on Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz

Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Hyderabad, India chapter) organized ‘Gareeb Nawaz
Conference’ on the occasion of the 800th annual ‘URS’ of Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb
Nawaz (RA) of Ajmer Sharif. The main aim of the conference was to convey the correct
message of universal peace and harmony which was what Hazrat Khawaja Ghareeb Nawaz
(RA) endeavored for throughout his life. In this conference renowned Islamic research
scholar had an opportunity to speak on different topics which are of great significance
in Islamic culture.

Shaik-ul-Hadees Maulana Khwaja Shareef (professor of Hadees Jamia Nizamia) presided
over the conference. Dr. Syed Murtaza Ali Soofi (Managing Editor Soofi Azam Monthaly)
spoke on the services of Ghareeb Nawaz and other soofi saints of Chishtya school
of spiritual thought. Dr. Syed Ghouse Ali Sayeed outlined the role of Gareeb Nawaz
in propagation of Islam by his noble character. Mr. Muneer-ud-din Noori (Khateeb
Masjid Ahmed Badpa) delivered his lecture on teachings of Spiritualism by Ghareeb
Nawaz. Mr. Habeeb Ahmed Al Hussaini Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, India)
threw light on subject of Sama (Qawwali).

The Conference was held at Medina Education Center, Nampally, Hyderabad on Saturday
evening. Khawaja Shareef in his presidential address emphasized that the life of
Hazrat Ghareeb Nawaz was dedicated to the service of the poor and downtrodden sections
of society irrespective of any caste, creed and colour. He also appreciated the
services rendered by Minhaj-ul-Quran International for the cause of peace, interfaith
dialogue and harmony in the world. He said that MQI was a true inheritor of the
message of Hazrat Ghareeb Nawaz.

The Conference witnessed the presence of Mr. Muzaffar Ali Soofi Abul Ulai (Sajjada
Nasheen Markazi Aastan-e-Abul Ulaia), Mr. Syed Hyder Ali Hussaini, Dr. Syed Hayat
ullah Qadri (president of MQI Andhra Pradesh) and a large number of people. The
conference concluded on a famous traditional Islamic Quwali.
