Peace possible through promotion of love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH):

Addressing millions of people in a Milad Conference in ‘Kutch’ city of Gujrat
organized under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International India, Shaykh-ul-Islam
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Islam is a religion of peace and reconciliation.
He said that those who are burning in the fires of extremism and terrorism have
not understood the spirit of Islamic teachings. He said that the love of the Holy
Prophet (SAW) has attracted millions of people from across India to the Miald Conference
and the purpose of the gathering was to convey the message of peace, love and interfaith
harmony in the world.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that those whose hearts radiate with the love
of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) cannot even think of causing a harm to the animals leave
alone the human beings. He said that for peace to prevail it was important to revive
and strengthen the relationship with the person of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). “If
we are able to strengthen our bond with the person of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), it
is only then that we can understand his Seerah and imbibe his teachings at both
individual and collective lives. This will lead to enlightenment of mind and purification
of heart,” he stated.
Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that love of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) was the
source from which the attitudes of love, peace, and tranquility issued forth, having
the potential to transform the collective ethos of society. He said that the Muslims
were blessed with Islam because of the Mawlid-un-Nabi (PBUH). He said that love
and respect for the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is the precious asset of the Muslims and
there is a need of working harder for establishment of peace at internal and external
levels. He said that the world of heart should be watered with the love of the Holy
Prophet (PBUH). The cardinal desires, he said, would be eliminated if we enlighten
our inner world with piety, cleanliness, Toheed and love of the Prophet (PBUH).
“If this happens, every person from among the Muslim community will become a repository
as well as promoter of peace in the world,” he said.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the Umma cannot do justice to celebration of Mawlid-un-Nabi
(PBUH) as Allah Almighty Himself celebrated the birth of His Beloved Prophet (PBUH).
